Our core product is a K-12 recruitment & hiring tool with embedded AI assistance that helps K-12 hiring managers identify the educators most likely to drive student learning and be retained in classrooms. Since launching in 2017, we have grown to serve some of the largest school districts nationwide, helping staff classrooms for millions of students annually.

The role

As the first sales hire in this ambitious, high-growth education startup, you will:

  • Collaborate with the CEO to design and implement a data-driven go-to-market strategy;
  • Develop and execute scalable processes for critical sales operations functions such as proposal development and RFP responses;
  • Develop and execute a lead generation and qualification playbook and creatively identify opportunities for Nimble to have values-driven conversations with prospective K-12 customers;
  • Begin building out a team, including business development representatives who can take over lead generation and qualification;
  • Coordinate logistics for team attendance at industry conferences;
  • Maintain Hubspot database;
  • Have the opportunity to move into a VP of Sales role, taking on increasing levels of ownership as the organization grows.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who brings most or all of the following:

  • 5+ years experience in sales, preferably in the education sector, with 3+ years as an Account Executive or Sales Manager;
  • Proven track record of prospecting, building a strong sales pipeline, moving opportunities through the sales cycle and meeting or exceeding sales quotas;
  • Detail oriented, with experience as a systems administrator in HubSpot and other CRMs, including implementing plans for how technology will support the on-paper sales process;
  • Fast learner and self starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, who takes on high levels of ownership and goes above and beyond expectations;
  • Relationship-driven, with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills and experience engaging with decision-makers within school districts or institutions of higher education;
  • Experience in K-12 education, ideally with stakeholders in human capital, talent, or HR, and a passion for educational equity.
